Market segmentation is a concept where an entire market is divided into smaller subsets with respect to consumers taste, demand and preference. Things you need to be aware of market segmentation.
Types of market segmentation
Apptivo Leads App has several groups of configuration settings that allows you to adjust the way the app functions. Here you can customize your Segments as per your requirement.
- The small units of market within a broader market consists of like minded people who pursue similar interests.
- Two market segments are not similar and are totally distinct.
- The people in the same market segment respond to the market fluctuations in a similar manner.
Types of market segmentation
- Geographic segmentation - Here the market is classified into various geographical areas. The marketing strategies will vary as per the individual tastes and preferences varies.
- Pscychographic segmentation - Here the lifestyle of the individuals are considered. The attitude, value and interests are accounted by the marketers to make a classification.
- Behaviorislistic segmentation - The loyalty of the consumers towards a particular brand helps the marketers to classify the market in to small units.

Steps to Customize Segments
- Log in and access Leads App from your universal navigation menu bar.
- Click on “More” icon and select “Settings” located at the app header bar.
- Click on “Leads" drop down and select "Markets & Segments” from the left navigation panel.
- Click on “Add Segment” button and specify segment name.
- Click on “Create” button to complete.
- You can also update segment information by clicking on "Edit" icon, if needed.
